The Establishment, Personnel and Training Department in keeping with the national vision and its mandate to foster an efficient, and professional Public Service sees training as a fundamental pillar in building resilience. As technology changes, skill requirements also change; climatic and other environmental issues also weigh in on the subject of training and re-training. Public officers must be taught how to work better, smarter and faster.
The Public Service Training Centre, is a unit under the EPTD. The PSTC is mandated to provide quality in-house training and development in order to facilitate the harnessing of a well-trained and motivated workforce within the Public Service capable of responding to public service development needs and national development goals. The management of the Public Service Training Centre will endeavor to continue to deliver in-country training programs embracing the new opportunities for learning using online platforms.
